Meet Our Staff

Dr. Sarah Cummings

Dr. Cummings graduated from Oregon State in 2003, and completed a mixed-animal internship in Prescott, Arizona. Since moving to Bend in 2006, Dr. Cummings has worked in private practice as well as for the Humane Society of Central Oregon.

Dr. Debbie Putnam

Dr Putnam attended Auburn University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 1992 and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1996.

Dr. Helen Moore

Dr. Moore joined the team at Riverside Animal Hospital in April of 2021 and will be seeing patients Monday through Thursday.

Morgan Helfrich, DVM

Dr. Helfrich joined Riverside Animal Hospital in 2023. She sees patients on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and alternating Saturdays and Tuesdays.

Dr. Megan Lee

Dr. Lee received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University in 2015. She sees patients on Monday, Thursday and Friday

Jaimie Sines, Hospital Administrator

Jamie joined Riverside Animal Hospital in 2017 as our Hospital Administrator. She spent many years in human health care but her first love is veterinary medicine. She enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 sons and handsome dog, Olaf.

Stephanie Wahlund, LVT, Head Technician

In 2005, I completed my degree and became licensed as a veterinary technician. I have proudly been caring for your furry family members ever since! While there are many challenging and rewarding components of my job, I have particular interest in critical care nursing and dentistry.

Misha Kirchmeier, LVT

Misha is a licensed veterinary technician who earned her BS degree in Animal Science from Cornell University. At Oregon State University School of Veterinary Medicine, she worked as a veterinary technician in surgery and anesthesia.

Connie Evans, LVT

Connie has lived in Central Oregon most of her life and joined us in October of 2020 after working at Bend Veterinary Specialists for four years.

Heather Craig

Heather joined Riverside Animal Hospital in 2016 as a kennel assistant. She has worked her way up to a customer service representative and technician assistant. Heather will finish her studies to become a licensed veterinary technician this spring.

Angelique Valdez

Angelique joined Riverside Animal Hospital in 2021, after 17 years in Emergency Medicine. She is a calm presence on the hospital floor and can calm the most nervous of cats.

Callie Magdziuk

Callie is one of the many friendly faces at Riverside's front desk. She has been in the field of veterinary medicine since 2013 and enjoys the relationships she makes with clients and their pets.

Busy

Busy is a full time PR liaison and bully ambassador at Riverside Animal Hospital. She loves cats, snacks and tug-o-war!
