Dr. Menasco completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Oregon in 2002.

Dr. Cummings graduated from Oregon State in 2003, and completed a mixed-animal internship in Prescott, Arizona. Since moving to Bend in 2006, Dr. Cummings has worked in private practice as well as for the Humane Society of Central Oregon.
Dr Putnam attended Auburn University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 1992 and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1996.
Dr. Jess Casey received her veterinary degree from Massey University in New Zealand. She has a special interest in wound care, pain management and immune mediated disease.
Dr Karshner is a graduate of UC Davis and has a special interest in surgery and ophthalmology. She has been doing relief work in Bend for several years and recently accepted a permanent position at Riverside Animal Hospital.
Jamie joined Riverside Animal Hospital in 2017 as our Hospital Administrator. She spent many years in human health care but her first love is veterinary medicine. She enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 sons and handsome dog, Olaf. Her bio is coming soon.
In 2005, I completed my degree and became licensed as a veterinary technician. I have proudly been caring for your furry family members ever since! While there are many challenging and rewarding components of my job, I have particular interest in critical care nursing and dentistry.
Abby is a licensed veterinary technician who recently relocated to Bend from Eugene, Oregon. She has special interests in dentistry and nutrition.
Misha is a licensed veterinary technician who earned her BS degree in Animal Science from Cornell University. At Oregon State University School of Veterinary Medicine, she worked as a veterinary technician in surgery and anesthesia.
Lyssa has been in the field of veterinary medicine for many years. She moved to Oregon from Tennessee where she was a technician in the Oncology Department at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.
Erica started in the animal medical field in Portland, OR in 1998. She moved to Central Oregon in 2004 for a change in atmosphere (sunshine!), but knew there was no way she wanted to change her career. She is currently earning her degree in animal science, and has plans to go on from there.
Columbine has lived in Bend for almost 8 years. She is currently enrolled in a Veterinary Technician School through San Juan College. She will be able to take her test this fall. She enjoys working with all sorts of animals and getting to know their family as well!
Heather joined Riverside Animal Hospital in 2016 as a kennel assistant. She has worked her way up to a customer service representative and technician assistant. Heather started in a veterinary technician program this spring with the goal of becoming a licensed veterinary technician.
Dawn moved here from New Orleans where she attended Tulane University and received a Masters degree in Biology.
Lily is a native Oregonian that joined Riverside Animal Hospital in 2017. She is a student at OSU Cascades and will graduate with a BS in 2020.
Callie grew up in the great state of Colorado where her love for animals blossomed. She went to CSU and received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and followed her heart to a doggie day care (the world’s best!) for 5 fantastic years. In the winter of 2012 she packed her bags and headed off for new adventures in Oregon.
Brooke is a customer service representative and veterinary assistant. She joined Riverside Animal Hospital in 2017.
